Ce projet de la Bible King James Française a commencé en 1994 et a abouti à la traduction de la Bible King James Française en 2006 ! À l’origine pour démontrer les variances trouvées dans les différentes versions françaises, cette traduction, à partir de 1996 était plutôt une correction/révision de la Bible Ostervald 1996, tout en y ajoutant les corrections suivant le libellé de la Bible King James.

La raison primordiale de cette traduction était de justement donner aux francophones une Bible vraiment basée sur les manuscrits dont se sont servis les traducteurs de la King James anglaise. Cette Bible est unique en son genre. Une refonte totale était devenue nécessaire afin de mettre en valeur cette spécificité pour les lecteurs francophones.

C’est pourquoi depuis 2011 ce travail est : mot pour mot, verset par verset la traduction intégrale - au plus près possible - du vocabulaire de la King James Bible anglaise.

This project of the King James French Bible started in 1994 and resulted in the translation of the King James French Bible in 2006! Originally to demonstrate the variances found in the different French versions, this translation, from 1996 onwards, was rather a correction / revision of the 1996 Ostervald Bible, while adding the corrections following the wording of the King James Bible.

The primary reason for this translation was precisely to give French speakers a Bible really based on the manuscripts used by translators of the English King James. This Bible is one of a kind. A complete overhaul had become necessary in order to highlight this specificity for French-speaking readers.

This is why since 2011 this work is: word for word, verse by verse the full translation - as close as possible - of the vocabulary of the English King James Bible.
